What this lab stands for
The EEG Lab measures brain activity and eye movements while people experience, learn or play something. It shows what an IX experience does to attention, memory and experience.
What people say and what their brain does are not always the same. This lab measures the second. Wireless EEG headsets also work outside the lab, even in a simulator. A research-grade eye tracker follows where someone looks up to two thousand times a second.
Researchers combine this with VR: flight simulation, safety training, mind wandering behind the wheel. Brain-computer interfaces are part of it too, letting you control a game or installation with your brain activity. You leave with evidence instead of an impression.
What we are setting up for BRIX
What Brain and Behavior Lab is building as part of the CIIIC programme.
Tilburg University is renewing the EEG Lab in MindLabs, one of its four research labs for BRIX. Outdated measuring equipment is replaced, and support for instruction and access is added. Through BRIX, you can commission research into what an IX experience does to attention and experience, carried out by specialised researchers.
