What this lab stands for
The Brain and Behavior Lab in MindLabs is a place to study human cognition. The lab provides equipment for measuring both the electrophysiological aspects of cognitive processing (EEG) and behavioral aspects, using eye tracking and reaction times.
Our lab offers EEG and eye-tracking systems to realise a diverse spectrum of research goals. Examples are controlled studies into the brain activity underlying language processing and multi-sensory information processing.
Using portable EEG systems it is also possible to monitor the brain activity of pilots while they are flying, and using our advanced eye-tracker it is possible to study where people fixate visually when they are carrying out a complex task. Our method have broad applicability and impact different domains, including education, safety, and healthcare.
What we are setting up for BRIX
What Tilburg University · Brain and Behavior Lab is building as part of the CIIIC programme.
Tilburg University is renewing the EEG Lab in MindLabs, one of its four research labs for BRIX. Outdated measuring equipment is replaced, and support for instruction and access is added. Through BRIX, you can commission research into what an IX experience does to attention and experience, carried out by specialised researchers.
