What you can expect when you work with BRIX — and what you can expect from the lab that does the work, because that is not the same thing.

What BRIX is, and what it is not
BRIX is a collaboration of labs, not a party that carries out the work. We do not make IX productions ourselves. What we do is sharpen your question, find the lab that can do it, and keep an overview of your track.
The work itself is done by that lab, with its own people and its own equipment. So you make the agreements about that work — planning, price, delivery, warranty — with the lab and not with BRIX. That organisation’s terms apply to it.
The intake is without obligation
An intake costs nothing and commits you to nothing. You leave with a picture of your next step — even if that step lies outside BRIX, and even if the advice is not to start at all.
We respond within five working days. That is an aim and not a guarantee, and it takes longer when it is busy or when there is a holiday in between.
Prices are not on the site
Almost every track is a combination of lab time, guidance and production. The same question can take a day at one location and a week at another. That is why every service says “on request”, and you only get a price after the intake, in a proposal that fits your question.
You cannot derive any prices or rights from what is on this site. Amounts are only set out in a proposal or an order confirmation.
What you build, and who owns it
Who owns measurements, prototypes and other results is agreed per assignment. It depends on the nature of the project you do with a lab. In any case BRIX does not acquire ownership: we only build the connections.
We do record the handover of a project. It is safeguarded within BRIX, with the partners and labs that are affiliated. So if you move to another lab, you never start over.
What is on the site
BRIX is under construction. Some services are already running, some are being developed, some are planned. We do not hide that: every service carries a label. Only what is marked available can be requested now.
We do our best to keep everything accurate, but facilities and availability change. What is in a proposal takes precedence over what is on the site.
The portal
You get access to the closed section by invitation, on behalf of the organisation you work for. Your account is personal. What you submit there — texts, images, services — we publish on the public site, and you vouch that you are allowed to share it.
For images we ask this explicitly: without accounting for the rights, we publish nothing. Have a question about an image? Then contact us.
What we stand behind, and what we do not
The short answer: we stand behind what we do — sharpening your question, finding the lab, keeping the overview — and not behind the work a lab delivers after that. That is not an escape clause but the same distinction made at the top of this page.
What you read on this site
We keep the site as accurate as we can, but facilities and availability change. You cannot derive rights from what is here; what is in a proposal takes precedence. If you come across something that is not right, let us know — it is usually corrected that same week.
The intake
An intake is a conversation and not an assignment. What you take away is our best judgement at that moment, and the decision to act on it remains yours. We choose the lab that fits to the best of our knowledge and tell you why; if that choice does not match what you are looking for, say so, because then we keep looking.
The track with a lab
The work is an agreement between you and that lab. If something goes wrong there — a delay, a disappointing result, damage — that is a matter between the two of you, and that organisation’s terms apply. BRIX is not a party to it.
What we do if it goes wrong: think along with you, and mediate where needed. That is not legal liability, but it is not an empty promise either — keeping the overview of your track is exactly what we are here for.
Your visit to a lab or an activity
At a location, the house rules and safety instructions of that location apply. Follow them; they are there for a reason, because there is equipment around and people move in spaces where you cannot see the real room.
The organisation that opens the door at a location is responsible for safety there, and that is the organisation itself.
What we never exclude
We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury, or for damage caused by intent or deliberate recklessness. The law does not allow that, and it would not be right.
If you are a consumer — for example as a visitor to an open day or a participant in a test day — your statutory rights apply in full. Nothing on this page takes anything away from that.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by Dutch law. If we cannot resolve something together, we will put it before the competent court in the Netherlands. But call first: almost everything can be solved in one conversation, and that is cheaper for everyone.
