About BRIX

Join BRIX

BRIX is a collective of IX labs, and that collective is open. If you have capacity the network lacks or that is scarce, you can join — and then demand reaches you that you would not find yourself.

Mock-up

BRIX is still being built, and it is more honest to say so

We are in the start-up phase with the labs that exist now. New partners and facilities are expected to be able to join from 2027. Until then we are working on the structure that makes this possible — with room for different kinds of partners: facilities, expertise and clients.

You can see where we are growing towards in the lab types the network does not yet cover:

  • Industry LabApplication in a sector, with the challenges and value chain partners that come with it.

That does not mean this is all we are looking for, nor that nothing is happening — some of these lines are already being worked on with partners outside the network. It does show where you are sure to add something.

What you get in return

Demand you would not find yourself

Businesses, governments and makers come in through one front door. What fits your capacity comes to you — with the reason why.

A place in the innovation agenda

Five lines we work on with partners, and that research and innovation funds connect to. A consortium with you in it scores differently from one without.

Shared standards and tooling

Shared assets, pipelines and measurement formats. What is developed with public money, we share openly — so you do not rebuild what already exists.

Visibility without your own marketing

Your own lab page, your services in the overview, and your activities in the calendar of the whole network.

What it asks

Joining is first and foremost an agreement about openness and about what you submit, because the promise to visitors is that all labs get the same treatment. We are also working on a membership model, so BRIX can keep delivering value on its own feet when the start-up funding ends. Its form is not settled yet; once it is, it will be here.

  • A facility or capacity the network does not yet have, or that is scarce.
  • Openness to people from outside your own institution or company.
  • Submitting your services and your form of access through the portal, so visitors can compare labs.
  • Intakes that run through BRIX go into one administration. That keeps the distribution across the labs traceable and lets us account for what happens with public money.

Want to explore the options?

Signing up is not possible yet — it is expected to open in 2027. You can help us think it through, though. Let us know through the intake what your facility is and who you would open it to, and we will keep you involved as soon as the joining conditions are ready.
