What this lab stands for
Fontys builds and manages the shared digital environment of BRIX. Every project that signs up gets its own environment to run experiments in, without depending on the large hosting platforms. Everything runs on-premises.
Without shared digital infrastructure, a national network of labs still ends up as a collection of separate places. Fontys solves that: isolated project environments, a GPU cluster for AI models, and shared repositories in which labs exchange assets and pipelines.
What we are setting up for BRIX
What Fontys is building as part of the CIIIC programme.
Fontys is building the shared digital infrastructure of BRIX, on-premise in Eindhoven. Every project gets its own secure environment. A GPU cluster runs AI models, and three servers carry hosting and development. Around that come sandboxing, repositories, AI models and floating licences that all labs can use, without depending on large cloud platforms.
