The question
Can a virtual human be the first point of contact in education, healthcare and hospitality? Without user data leaving the building, and without part of the audience dropping out because of the interaction.
The approach
In a BRIX lab, a virtual human was built on locally running language models, so conversations stay on in-house workstations. It was designed to be inclusive from the first version: tested for recognisability and comprehensibility with the audiences. Combined research by several labs then validates its effectiveness. Students from vocational colleges, universities of applied sciences and research universities worked on the iterations in a six-month challenge.
