The question
IX makers often have a technically convincing product, but no route to buyers. There is no evidence that a purchaser will accept, and no access to the facilities to scale up. So good solutions get stuck between pilot and market.
The approach
With guidance, the maker goes through a track in which the proposition is sharpened. The product is tested with a representative user group, and the findings go into a report that holds up with purchasers. The network then provides targeted introductions to industry and training partners with a demonstrable need. Where needed, we look for additional funding or a consortium.
The result
- A sharpened proposition, with evidence from a test with real users.
- Introductions to buyers that match the maturity level of the product.
- Insight into the facilities and partners needed to scale up.
- An approach to investment, grants and funds, together with the lab or partners.
